Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional Accounting team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You can expect to join a regional accounting operation team where you will enhance your accounting knowledge alongside fellow chartered accountants and interact with diverse colleagues and stakeholders across various lines of business within Marsh McLennan. We will count on you to:

• Assist in day to day accounting functions and processes as well as reporting of financial information according to the accounting principles and practices and regulatory environment and ensures these principles and practices are applied in the daily work.
• Prepare journal and approve offshore journal entries, consolidated statements and client carrier reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve customer accounts/Insurers/Reinsurers issues and attend to queries raised by Country Finance, Broker or Underwriters.
• Analyze, maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and administrative systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate month end close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports. Duties may also include the preparation of required regulatory reporting.
• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliation (including bank and Interoffice) on a timely basis as well as resolve reconciling and unreconciling items on a timely basis.
• Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information as well as operational analysis using various reporting tools as consistent with a global business leader.

What you need to have:

• Degree holder with high GPA in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency.
• Those pursuing or are already Professionally Qualified Accountants are encouraged to apply.
