AM/Manager, Property Underwriting | Kuala Lumpur, MY

You will be working for one of the leading Insurance companies looking for a Manager, Property Underwriter to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With an aggressive growth plan and the vision to become a better leader in its field, it continues to gain market share over its competitors.

Your new role
You'll be responsible for the implementation of underwriting strategies (e.g. risk analysis for growth & profitability, portfolio management) and solutions (e.g. product development) for property and miscellaneous lines of business. You'll also have the opportunity to acquire thorough knowledge of underwriting in terms of their functionalities, technicalities, operational processes and underwriting exposure. Handling risk assessment and acceptance based on underwriting guidelines will be a constant in this role, as well as maintaining a professional relationship with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• The ability to establish underwriting policies for commercial lines products to achieve growth and profit objectives.
• At least 7 years of working experience in property and miscellaneous underwriting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven and capable of strategic thinking and management.
