Job Description:

1. To assist in providing notice, information, legal & compliance support and advice to all Divisions/Departments concerning relevant applicable laws, regulations or internal rules & policies, and to ensure compliance thereto (including company law, competition law, anti-corruption law, personal data law, consumer laws, trademarks and other Intellectual Property laws).
2. To provide timely legal support, legal advice, review, draft agreements and legal letters in support of Divisions/Departments' commercial and business dealings to get to their goals faster and safer.
3. To support HOD in providing legal & compliance support and advice to MMM's Management on corporate and commercial matters or transactions, civil or commercial disputes, litigations, intellectual property, personal data and other laws.
4. Assist in conducting legal watch and ensure comprehensive and on-going knowledge of emerging legal & compliance trends and subjects, including keeping updated with development of applicable laws, rules and regulations.
5. To recognize potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop/implement corrective action plans.
6. To be able to effectively consult, supervise and manage external counsels when necessary.
7. Supervision and management of litigations and civil/commercial disputes in accordance with company Management's directions.
8. To ensure sharing of best practices within the team and facilitates sharing of best practices across business disciplines.
9. To support in conducting training for awareness & knowledge of MMM's employees on any legal development, new laws (if any) and compliance requirements and guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Recognized bachelor’s degree in Law (LL. B) from a reputable university.
2. At least 5 years of PQE (post qualifications experience).
3. Relevant experience with established law firms as well as in-house.
4. A qualified advocate & solicitor.
5. Flexible attitude in working outside of working hours (if necessary).
6. Resourceful, adept at legal research.
7. Commercially oriented, dynamic, and able to grasp new issues quickly with minimum supervision.
8. Independent and possess strong stakeholder management skills.
9. Possess strong communication and analytical skills; fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
