Job Summary
We are seeking a P&L Finance Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial planning, forecasting, and profitability analysis for Altera's FPGA business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing insights that drive business decisions and optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

P&L Ownership & Financial Reporting:

1. Analyze and manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement for Altera.
2. Provide insights on revenue, cost structure, margins, and profitability trends.
3. Support quarterly and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Forecasting & Budgeting

1. Develop financial models for revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and operating expenses.
2. Assist in annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
3. Identify key business drivers affecting financial performance.

Business Performance Analysis

1. Conduct variance analysis on actuals vs. forecast and provide data-driven recommendations.
2. Partner with business teams to improve financial efficiency and optimize cost structures.
3. Support pricing strategies, product profitability analysis, and investment decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

1. Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to align financial goals with business strategies.
2. Provide financial insights for executive decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
2. 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), P&L management, or corporate finance—preferably in the semiconductor or technology industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
4. Proficiency in financial tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, and Excel.
5. Experience in semiconductor pricing, margin analysis, and cost management is a plus.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
