What role you will play in our team

The Advanced Materials Engineer position shall be in the Asia-Pacific Materials Integrity Team which is part of the Materials Integrity department. The role is to provide engineering support to Capital Projects and Operations across all business lines.
Location – Menara ExxonMobil, KL.

What you will do

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support for materials-related work
  • Provides on-site field support during scheduled maintenance activities
  • Provide materials specialist support for large capital projects and smaller regional projects to ensure technical quality
  • Participates in programs aimed at improving unit reliability and optimizing maintenance
  • Supports industry activities (MTI, API and NACE) where appropriate
  • Trains/Mentors entry-level employees to support their career development

About you

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering with at least 10 years experience in the oil & gas industry
  • Demonstrated work experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Welding/fabrication and Inspection/Testing
    • Metallurgy and manufacture
    • Materials selection
    • Failure Analysis
    • Corrosion control
    • Fracture Mechanics
    • NDE
  • Able and willing to travel to work sites and shop fabrication locations worldwide
