As an OTS Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing process related HCI solutions (APC, OTS, HPDT, PWO). Reporting to Sr Application Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and be responsible for the engineering activities of Operator Training Simulator (OTS) to provide value-added engineering solutions. Your role will involve ensuring the successful completion of design, achieving desired quality to meet all design review and internal audit requirements. You will interface with clients on technical issues, identify changes or variations in the scope of supply, and assist Project Managers in managing project schedules to meet delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and be responsible for the engineering activities of Operator Training Simulator (OTS) to provide value-added engineering solutions
• Interface with clients on technical issues and identify changes or variations in the scope of supply
• Assist Project Managers to manage project schedules to meet delivery timelines
• Provide sales and estimation support to Sales and P&E team
• Initiate utilization of best engineering practices, training, tools, and methodologies
• Coach young engineers to be self-sufficient in running projects

Key Experience & Capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related technical field
• At least 2 years of working experience in industrial automation or control systems
• Strong knowledge and experience in Operator Training Systems (OTS)
• Strong knowledge and experience in process modelling and use of UniSim Design (highly regarded), other similar systems is also considered
• Good process engineering knowledge and experience in designing and implementing OTS solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Understanding of process optimization and efficiency improvement techniques
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
