Your Role - Come Join Our Team!

In this role you will:

The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Team Lead plays a highly critical role in overseeing the end-to-end receivables process to ensure accurate, timely and compliant invoicing and collections for our Ops Pod that consist of two of our brands. This position will provide direct leadership to the A/R Ops team, driving performance excellence, process efficiencies, and ensuring adherence to company policies as well as industry standards. The A/R Team Lead will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer experience and accounting teams, to resolve billing issues, optimize cash flow and mitigate financial risks. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in accounts receivable processes, exceptional analytical skills and the ability to identify and implement best practices to achieve key performance metrics such as Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO), cash application accuracy and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, fostering strong relationships both internally and externally to support the company’s financial goals.

Typical Functions:

Leadership & Management

  1. Lead and manage the A/R Ops team, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and professional development.
  2. Oversee the end-to-end invoicing and collections process for two brands, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  3. Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  4. Monitor team workload and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs).
  5. Be an SME in our Collections ERP module.

Invoice Auditing & Compliance

  1. Ensure all customer invoices are processed accurately and timely, within company policies, contract terms, and relevant accounting standards.
  2. Conduct periodic invoice audits to identify discrepancies and drive corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  3. Maintain thorough documentation to support internal and external audits.
  4. Work with the accounting team to identify and reserve for bad debt appropriately.

Collections Management & Cash Flow Optimization

  1. Develop and implement strategies to minimize outstanding receivables and reduce bad debt exposure. Ensure procedures for runnings and collections are followed, timely and consistently.
  2. Identify and address overdue accounts promptly, working closely with customers to facilitate timely payments.
  3. Share best practices across the team to optimize collections efficiency and effectiveness.

Customer Relationship Management

  1. Work with the sales and customer experience teams to address escalations and implement proactive solutions.
  2. Ensure customer support ticket queues are maintained and resolved per established SLAs.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster trust and facilitate timely payments.
  4. Work collaboratively with internal teams to establish appropriate credit terms and conditions.

Reporting & Analysis, and Other

  1. Generate and analyze daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly A/R reports to provide actionable insights.
  2. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to drive informed decision-making.
  3. Conduct monthly sales tax classification audits in ERP, and work with the accounting team to reconcile sales tax charges, monthly.
  4. Other related Accounts Receivable responsibilities as determined from time to time.

Requirements

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  1. Proven track record of progressive experience in accounts receivable roles at recurring revenue and/or subscription based businesses.
  2. Must have prior experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  3. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Commitment to continuous process improvement and operational excellence.

Work Environment:

This position will be part of our Denver office. Candidates located outside of the Denver Metro Area will be reviewed and considered if necessary.

We are a hybrid friendly company with office hubs located in Atlanta and Tampa, in addition to our new headquarters in downtown Denver. No matter where you live and work, you’re a part of the Actabl team.

Compensation Package:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
