About The Role

As an Account Receivable Specialist in our brand-new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of an organization by providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data into ERPs;
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for, properly posted and offsetted;
  • Respond to basic client inquiries and other clerical tasks related to maintaining the accounts receivable records for your organization;
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues;
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by emailing bill reminders to clients;
  • Generate statement of accounts and reports detailing accounts receivable status;
  • Calculate and post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify details of transactions, such as funds received and total account balances;
  • Prepare weekly receivable statements;
  • Compile and sort documents, prepare and post finance related credit and debit memos;
  • Calculate sales commission for related entities' sales personnel;
  • Provide backup support to other groups in the accounting department, extract and prepare periodic reports and perform other general administrative duties;

In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our Accounting / Finance function teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.

Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within Accounting or wider Finance functions.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Proficient in Account Receivables/ Full-set account;
  • Familiarity with either one of these accounting software: SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics or other similar software;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

Nice To Have

  • Professional membership such as ACCA / CPA / CIMA would be a big plus point;
  • Regional exposure in past employment would be highly desirable, as this role requires the incumbent to deal with colleagues and stakeholders from not just Malaysia, but also Singapore, Australia, Netherlands, Germany etc;

Language

  • Good written and spoken English is essential;
  • A proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean and/or Thai as well as other Asian languages will be an added advantage, however not mandatory;

Qualification / Education

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent disciplines;
