Accounts Manager/Assistant Manager (Based in Nilai)

Company Background

We are representing our client, a plastic raw material trading company that has been providing high-quality materials to manufacturers and businesses around the world for several years.

Our client offers a wide range of plastic raw materials, including PET, PVC, polyethylene, and polypropylene, and we work with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure we source only the best quality materials.

• Work location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan
• Working days: 5.5 days per week
• Annual profit sharing

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounts department to ensure smooth operations on a daily basis.
• Prepare full set of accounts including monthly bank reconciliation and month-end closing procedures.
• Coordinate day-to-day financial activities and ensure compliance with finance-related SOPs.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, tailored to the plastic recycling industry.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes, emphasizing the unique aspects of recycling operations.
• Perform treasury functions, including cash flow management, preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts, and monitoring daily bank balances & funds.
• Ensure completeness of the recording and filing of all accounting data entries.
• Prepare monthly debtor statements and remind clients via email.
• Analyze and control expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints specific to the recycling industry.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across all departments, including production, logistics, and sales.
• Implement best practices in financial management to optimize resource allocation, emphasizing waste reduction and resource efficiency.
• Monitor budget performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Develop financial forecasts and projections to guide long-term planning, focusing on market trends in recycled plastic products.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of related Accounting/Finance experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Open to candidates with SPM/Diploma/Degree with relevant working experience.
• Able to work in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan
• Ability to speak Mandarin is a must.
