Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Proper planning of engagement - to be aware of the needs and provide quality service to clients.
  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of the accounting reports and deliverables prepared by the team in accordance with client requirements and Service Level Agreements.
  • Support audit and corporate tax submission such as prepare audit and tax schedules for year-end finalization.
  • Effective communication with clients to ensure client’s queries or requests are attended.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate action.
  • Provide effective leadership, supervision and guidance to the team.
  • Ensure that all SOPs are strictly adhered to by team.
  • Ensure best practice of corporate governance and compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Handle ad hoc activities as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Possesses or pursuing accounting professional qualification i.e. member of MIA/ACCA/CPA Australia.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Mature, creative, dynamic and open-minded with a good sense of business acumen.
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to dynamic changes in business.
  • Time management skills and good judgement in prioritizing deliverables.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Fluent (spoken and written) in English and Bahasa Melayu. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is an advantage.
