Accounts Lead

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Lead to join our team.

The Accounts Lead will play a pivotal role in managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and providing critical insights to support our financial health and decision-making processes.

The Accounts Lead also must be able to do full set accounts and understand Malaysia's taxation law.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle daily accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records.
2. Prepare and process full set of accounts including data entry, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
3. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank transactions.
4. Perform regular reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statements, and intercompany balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Maintain up-to-date records of financial transactions and assist in preparing month-end journals.
6. Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
7. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements and schedules.
8. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analysis and recommendations to support financial planning.
9. Assist in financial analysis, variance analysis, and other ad hoc projects as required.
10. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
11. Provide general administrative support as needed, including filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
12. Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

1. Professional Certificate in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
3. Proficiency in IT and communications.
4. Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
