Accounts Executive (Full Set Account)

Job Description

Company Background:

We represent our client, a fast-growing Food & Beverage retail company with over 20+ outlets across Malaysia. As they are expanding, they are looking for Account Executive (Full set) to be based in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to handle full sets of accounts.
• Ensure payments are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Solve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
• Assist in monitoring backlog invoices and give direction to teams to drive down the backlog number accordingly.
• Prepare reports and vendor reconciliation and act on overdue open items.
• Ensure KPIs for Account Payable are met, including timely processing and payment of invoices.
• Verify and review suppliers' payments, staff commission claims, and trade applications.
• Assist in establishing and implementing effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Internal Control Procedures to improve Finance and Reporting Systems.
• Timely submission of Inland Revenue Board (IRB) tax returns and compliance at all times.
• Responsible for Tax Planning & Compliance.
• Review statutory audit reports, inventory management, and Debtors Ageing Report.
• Attend and liaise with Internal and External Auditors, Tax Agents, Legal, Bankers, etc.
• Perform other ad hoc assignments and tasks as requested by management.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in accounting/finance with experience in the F&B/retail industry.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
