Accounts Assistant Manager - Shared Services (REF: NA)

Our client is a Japanese company providing various types and application adhesive tapes for semiconductors, electronics, and other industries in Malaysia and internationally.

Job Descriptions

  1. Operational Management:
    • Supervise and manage day-to-day operations
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
  2. Process Improvement:
    • Review, identify, and implement process improvements and standardization to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and streamline workflows.
  3. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls procedure.
    • Monitor and mitigate risks within shared services operations.
  4. Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as a key liaison between shared services and other departments to resolve issues and address concerns.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and auditors.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Study and analyse trends or movements, providing insights into business performance for planning and forecasting.
  6. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide guidance, lead, and mentor to enhance team competency.
  7. To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by superior.
  8. To participate in company activities (5s, safety, environment & energy, budget plan, ISO documentation, etc.) as assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. ✓ Must possess at least a Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  2. ✓ Hands-on experience in a shared service environment for an overseas company.
  3. ✓ Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  4. ✓ Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  5. ✓ Clear communication is essential when dealing with financial information.
  6. ✓ Ability to address and resolve discrepancies, errors, or inefficiencies in accounting processes.
  7. ✓ Self-motivated, aggressive, strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  8. ✓ Process-oriented, detail-oriented, comfortable with high volumes of transactions; accuracy is crucial.
