Job description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software accurately and efficiently.
  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable and receivable records, and prepare monthly statements.
  3. Record Keeping: Maintain financial records and files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  4. Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
  5. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and budgets as required by management.
  6. Communication: Interact with clients, vendors, and internal departments to resolve issues and provide information as needed.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, copying, and scanning documents.

Qualifications

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role preferred.
  3. Skills:
    1. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    5. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
