Job description

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including entering journals, managing accounts receivable and payable, using financial technology systems, and other select finance-related administration.

Main Responsibilities

  • Full sets of accounts.
  • Fixed Assets, entering Journals, Bank Reconciliation, Balance Sheet reconciliation & intercompany reconciliation.
  • Accounts Payable (processing invoices and payments) and review employee expense claims.
  • Internal audit.
  • Liaising with third party advisors/bookkeepers on statutory requirements.
  • Working with tax advisors, responsible for all tax compliance for assigned countries including, but not limited to annual/quarter/month tax filings, etc.
  • Ensure for the assigned countries, that Board of Directors and shareholder meetings, Board members changes, etc. are completed and filed on time.
  • Payroll - Responsible for reviewing and approving payroll, including employee annual income return and all other statutory returns.
  • Accounting (other countries) - To assist as and when needed by Finance Manager or Director.
  • To assist Internal Auditor team in audit at sub-con sites and/or distributor sites.
  • Any other duties may be assigned by Finance Manager or Director.

Requirements

  • Min Degree in Accountancy or other equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Work experience as an Accounting Manager preferably more than 5 years of experience handling full set of accounts with some years' experience in tax work.
  • Min 3 years of supervisory experience a plus.
  • Has 2 - 4 years audit experience in a reputable public accounting firm (Big 4).
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Good Excel skills (Pivot table, Vlookup, etc).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-initiative and able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Preferably with Oracle experience.
  • Must be able to be based in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
