Job Description

1. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other applicable regulations.
2. Accounting Operations: Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and fixed assets. Ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions.
3. Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively and provide training and development opportunities.
4. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Identify and address any control weaknesses.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
6. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs. Prepare cash flow projections.
7. Audits: Coordinate with external and internal auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Address any audit findings.
8. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including corporate tax, withholding tax, and Goods and Services Tax (GST) or its equivalent. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Manager should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Experience in the construction or property development industry is essential
• Prior or existing experience working with public listed companies are needed
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
