Job Description
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other applicable regulations.
Accounting Operations: Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and fixed assets. Ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions.
Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively and provide training and development opportunities.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Identify and address any control weaknesses.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs. Prepare cash flow projections.
Audits: Coordinate with external and internal auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Address any audit findings.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including corporate tax, withholding tax, and Goods and Services Tax (GST) or its equivalent. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
