Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and independent Accounting Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, tax compliance, and audit management within the manufacturing industry. Experience in the food industry and professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing Accounting & Costing:

Oversee all aspects of manufacturing accounting including inventory valuation and standard costing.

Conduct cost analysis and variance reporting to support operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to monitor and improve cost structures.

Ensure proper accounting treatment of production costs and inventory in line with applicable standards.

2. Tax Compliance & Reporting:

Manage preparation and submission of all tax filings.

Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.

Work with external tax advisors and authorities as needed.

Support strategic tax planning and identify opportunities for tax efficiency.

3. Audit & Internal Controls:

Lead preparation for internal and external audits, especially related to manufacturing operations.

Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.

Address audit findings and implement improvements to mitigate risks.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

Prepare manufacturing-specific financial statements, reports, and management insights.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.

Operate with a high degree of independence, taking ownership of all manufacturing-related accounting matters.

Lead and mentor junior team members as needed.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including operations and senior management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

Solid understanding of cost accounting and tax compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Experience in the food industry is a strong advantage.

Accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
