Development & capability building of finance team.
Develop and maintain accounting systems, prepare complex financial documents, and handle difficult or sensitive financial matters.
Direct accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. Lead the Finance team to ensure all financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet business objectives and are in accordance with local, corporate accounting policies, principles, and standards. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and tools to meet their key deliverables and are motivated to deliver advice and support to the highest professional standard.
Preparation and delivery of timely monthly financial accounting packs.
Manage GL functions and monthly/quarterly and year-end closing.
Handle quarterly submission of GST, annual tax submission and compliance matters, liaising with the company secretary, submission of government statistics matters, etc.
Prepare statutory financial statements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other external stakeholders when necessary.
Work with, but not limited to, the Commercial team on AR outstanding, work with FP&A/Supply Chain manager to provide historical data for budget preparation and other internal stakeholders when necessary.
Ensure financial and statutory reports are in compliance with local and group reporting requirements.
Identify and implement business processes to improve internal financial controls.
Support any other ad-hoc duties/projects as required.
