Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining of the accounting system, full sets of accounts (GL, AR, AP), journal entries, inter-entities reconciliations, investigating variances, inventory management in compliance with internal policies, financial policies and regulations.
Responsible for timely month-end closing and preparation of management reports, departmental P&L, cost allocation on shared resources and comprehensive analysis of financial results.
Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and preparing of Budgets, cash flow projection and business forecast plan to support effective financial management and decision-making.
Financial Accounting:
Review and reconcile current company accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statements, and general ledger entries.
Identify and correct discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in the financial records to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial reporting.
Work closely with the accounting team to ensure that all historical transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
Establish Financial SOPs:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive SOPs for all financial processes, including but not limited to invoicing, expense reporting, procurement, payments, and financial reporting.
Standardize workflows for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and month-end closing to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure SOPs are clearly documented and easily accessible for all team members to ensure compliance and consistency across all financial functions.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and optimize cash flow, ensuring the Company maintains liquidity for operations and strategic investments.
Manage the Company's working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments (such as marketing, sales, and operations) to provide financial insight and support for strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
Degree in Finance or Accounting recognized by government from any institutions or higher education or a Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICAP);
A member of any accounting or finance professional body;
Minimum 5 years or related experience in accounting or financial management;
Analytical, strong business sense, ability to lead and work independently;
Able to think out of the box, results-driven and good business acumen;
Good communication skills - both written and verbal;
A keen eye for detail and desire to probe into data;
Quick thinker and effective people manager;
Integrity and drive;
High level of adaptability and flexibility skills;
Strong accounting, tax technical skills;
Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin (Verbal & Written).
