About us

This will be a 74 rooms resort in Redang Island. As an accounting executive, you will be a vital part of our team to ensure smooth operations of the financial management of the hotel, and it is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and up for challenges. Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
  • Background in hospitality industry is added advantage.
  • Attention to details with good interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge in Accounting Software system, computer literate and proficient in MicrosoftWindows, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Flexible in relation to working hours, especially at month end.
  • Must know how to perform accounting / bookkeeping in terms of P&L and Balance Sheet (i.e. transaction recording in finance systems, bank reconciliation, AP/AR monitoring)
Tasks & responsibilities
  • Keep a proper and accurate record of all amounts due to the hotel and ensure that the accounts and statements are rendered on a timely basis
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all monies due to the hotel from (but not limited to) guests, groups, crew, banquets, employees and credit card companies.
  • Check back up documentation against invoices to ensure the accuracy of all information prior to it been sent out.
  • Adjust daily credit card payments to PMS and POS machines to ensure all payments and other transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Ensure that the necessary documentation is submitted with invoices to substantiate charges and to ensure payment is made on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that accounts, statements and follow up letters are sent on a timely basis.
  • Overseeing the resort's financial operations, managing budgets, conducting financial analysis, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with regulations.
