Accounting Associate

About the Role: You will report to the Head of Accounting, and work closely with the CFO and team to manage Wogi’s regional accounting and finance matters. You will work closely with various stakeholders and entities in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consolidation of our financial records. It requires someone who is proactive, comfortable with an unstructured environment, and excited to contribute to improving our process and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of a full set of accounts and handling AR / AP processes
• Monitor and manage transactional receipts and payment processes
• Reconcile discrepancies arising between the system and finance records, proactively seek for solutions to identify and minimize the differences
• Liaise with auditors, bankers, advisors and stakeholders as required, to facilitate closing and reconciliation of accounts
• Perform other related ad-hoc duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• At least 3-4 years of experience
• Self-starter and able to work independently with a positive attitude, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous with good attention to details, able to multi-task and proactive in solving problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High proficiency in English is a MUST
• Proficiency in spreadsheets - MS Excel, Google Sheets. Experience with using Xero Accounting software is an advantage
