About the role

We are seeking a full-time Accounting & Administration Officer to join the team at Wisdom Bright (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Puchong, Selangor. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial and administrative operations.

What you'll be doing

Accounting:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
  • Ensure the preparation of monthly accounts & financial reports in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Responsible for full spectrum of accounting and financing functions of the assigned entity (include maintaining of the accounting system, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, inventories controls, bank facilities, cash flows & budgets analysis, GL, AR, AP and financial policies and regulations).
  • Handle full sets of accounts and statutory reports independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in budget forecast, financial analysis on P&L and balance sheet.
  • To coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
  • To coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required.
  • Take charge of the preparation of tax computation, tax estimates and ensure a timely and effective level of tax compliance in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Handle tax matters which would include GST/SST filing as well as corporate tax.
  • To maintain/monitor/improve accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Assist in enhancement of the financial and management reporting system, internal control, policies and procedures.
  • Ad hoc tasks assigned.

HR & Administration:

  • Compile and maintain Legal documents.
  • Liaise and communicate with all related parties regarding HR & Admin.
  • Handle office operation tasks and data entry.
  • To assist superior in all correspondence and administrative works related to the business.
  • To assist in purchasing and other assigned duties.
  • Other tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a professional qualification.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality as well as attention to detail.
  • Full set accounts and office operation experience is a must.
  • Essential to be bilingual in English with Mandarin (including reading and writing).
  • Meticulous, team player, quick to adapt & able to multitask.
  • Possess knowledge and well-versed in MS Office, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc., will be advantageous.
