Job description
  • SERVICE GROUP : MANAGEMENT AND PROFESSIONAL
  • POSITION GRADE : GRADE WA9 / WA10
  • POSITION TYPE : CONTRACT (Renewable)
  • SALARY SCHEME : Based on Salary Scheme for the Grade WA9 / WA10

WORK DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform the required spectrum of financial, accounting functions, and business support;
  • Timely and accurate monthly/annual financial (includes sales/expense report, P & L, balance sheet, cash flow etc) and management reporting;
  • Prepare audited financial statements, notes to accounts, and audit schedules;
  • Analyse financial data and present the reports to the Management;
  • Prepare forecast, budgeting, and implementation;
  • Monitor, report, and ensure optimum cash level for operational purposes;
  • Liaise with both internal divisions and external parties including auditors, tax agents, and government bodies for statutory and legislative requirements;
  • Recommend and enforce continuous improvement on financial and operations internal controls, policies, and procedures;
  • Handle any ad-hoc assignment as required by the Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent. Professional qualifications like ACCA/CPA/MIA/CIMA are an added advantage;
  • At least 3 years of working experience is required for this position;
  • Individuals with accounting and finance background with working experience in Multinational Corporation (MNC) or in Audit Field/Big Four accounting firms will be an added advantage;
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”), the Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (“MPERS”), Malaysian Public Sector Accounting Standards (“MPSAS”), tax regulations, governing standards, and regulations;
  • Multi-tasker, fast learner, independent, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision to meet deadlines, and has a sense of urgency;
  • Detail-oriented with strong financial analytical skills and a good team player;
  • Possess strong leadership quality, problem-solving, good communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Accounting Software (SQL);
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English;
  • Able to work beyond standard working hours when the need arises.
