The Accountant Supervisor will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring financial operations run smoothly and effectively, in a leading technology and telecoms company.

Description

• Evaluate prospective client financial profiles against regional risk parameters, utilizing localized data sources to ensure compliance.
• Maintain adherence to established revenue recognition protocols (e.g., ASC 606), ensuring alignment with US GAAP and internal guidelines.
• Identify and escalate potential financial exposures to relevant stakeholders, providing timely insights for mitigation.
• Audit transactional data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring precise posting to the receivables ledger.
• Implement systematic collection strategies, manage client communications, and develop rolling cash flow projections.
• Monitor payment patterns, negotiate payment schedules, and resolve client disputes, implementing credit controls as needed.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations, monthly bank statement reconciliations, and generate comprehensive receivables portfolio reports.
• Contribute to global continuous improvement initiatives, support external audit processes, and recommend enhancements to regional financial procedures.

Profile

A successful Accountant Supervisor should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
