Accountant - Statutory & Reporting

Introduction

IBM Accounting Kuala Lumpur (IAKL), which commenced operations in Malaysia in 1994,provides world-class accounting services, demonstrating its outstanding leadership in supporting the Accounting processes and analysis, financial systems and process controls for the Asia Pacific.

Your role and responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely and compliant annual financial statements.

• Perform adequate analysis to ensure the accuracy of the statutory financial statements.

• Work with external auditors to coordinate the statutory audit related work.

• Provide statutory accounting support to the IBM stakeholders.

• Act as trusted business advisor for statutory accounting matters.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accounting/Banking/ Commerce Accounting

• A strong academic background with either First Class Honours or a robust Second Class Upper Honours degree (Minimum CGPA 3.0).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Quick learner with the capability to absorb professional knowledge rapidly.

• Proficiency in IT skills relevant to job requirements.

• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to tasks.

• Position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of audit/tax experience.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Knowledge of additional languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is an added advantage.
