Accountant-Group Consolidation

Position: Accountant, Group Consolidation.
Salary: RM 6000-8000.
Job location: Central Business District (5-day week @ City center), Kuala Lumpur.

Introduction
Our client is a business conglomerate group of companies listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia. They are engaged in a wide spectrum of business activities in Malaysia and other ASEAN regions. Currently, they are actively seeking a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Accountant based at their corporate head office in the city center, Kuala Lumpur.

About the Job Role
The position is a full-time permanent role, reporting to the Group Finance Manager. This is a key role within the Finance department in which you will be responsible for Group consolidations, preparing statutory accounts for the Group companies.

As Accountant for the group, you will be overall responsible for performing a full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting in compliance with Malaysian Finance Reporting standards and responsible for performing group consolidation and involved in group consolidation and reporting.

Roles & Duties:

1. Review monthly consolidation.
2. Preparation and review of group financial reporting, including management accounts and reports, annual statutory financial statements, budget, income tax/deferred tax computation.
3. Manage and prepare condensed statement and quarterly financial reporting to Bursa Malaysia.
4. Preparation of group consolidation of accounts, management reports, financial analysis, budget, interim/annual financial statements.
5. Preparation of monthly management account analysis.
6. In charge of annual audit exercise for the Group and responsible for the preparation of audited financial statements.

Requirements: Candidate Profile

1. The successful candidate will have proven corporate reporting experience including managing the consolidation process.
2. Malaysian in age group 30-40 with ACCA/CIMA or Bachelor degree in Accountancy.
3. 2-3 years of relevant work experience in managing group finance in a listed company environment.
4. Financial/management reporting.
5. Prior initial work experience gained from Big 4 or second-tier audit firm would be highly regarded although not a prerequisite.
6. Technically competent and up to date with relevant technical accounting pronouncements and standards, especially Financial Reporting standards.
7. Familiarity with the requirements of public-listed companies will be an asset.
8. Knowledge of consolidation skills will be beneficial and advantageous.
9. Must be proficient in English, spoken and written, plus conversant in BM and Mandarin.
10. Advanced-level spreadsheet skills.
