Company Overview:

Pharmaserv Alliances Sdn Bhd was established on 19 Oct 2001, wholly owned by Kumpulan Perubatan Johor (KPJ). We are the Central Procurement Arm for KPJ Hospitals, Government Hospitals, and private, a wholesaler and distributor of pharmaceutical, medical disposables, vitamins and supplements, health and beauty, and other hospital-related products. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of excellence and are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Record Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
  3. Reconcile Accounts: Ensure accuracy by reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  4. Tax Compliance: Assist with preparing and filing tax returns and ensure the company adheres to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  5. Budgeting & Forecasting: Help create financial forecasts and support budgeting processes, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  6. Audit Support: Work closely with external auditors to provide necessary documents and ensure timely completion of audits.
  7. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or similar certification is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with tax preparation is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity: A strong ethical foundation and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
