Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Validation and analysis of invoices distributed to customers, ensure accurate and complied invoice posting and invoicing of purchased services to customers (e.g. bill-back invoices to OEM, e-invoicing posting, submission to LHDN, and validation of Revenue and Gross profit dimension, etc.).
2. Identification of due payments, preparation of dunning letters or performing calls/visitation to customers. This also includes performing periodic calculation of interest charges (where applicable), recording of payments, legal proceedings, managing of collection agencies and ongoing credit checks of customers.
3. Preparing of period close based on MFRS15 Revenue from Contract with Customers; including calculating and posting entries for provisions for bad debt, reconciling accounts receivable module to general ledger and preparation of other accruals and provisions related to accounts receivable and revenue.
4. Other accounts receivable processes including creation of new customers, managing customer master data, assigning Credit Limits and Payment Terms, etc.
5. Process of performing intercompany accounting. This includes invoicing, identifying and reconciling existing intercompany differences (e.g. in AP, AR) with intercompany business partners. Maintenance of intercompany master data. Preparation of intercompany documents. Reconciling intercompany accounts and related party reconciliation.
6. Closing of period, calculating and posting general accruals, prepayments and provisions, reconciling G/L, solving and booking of journal entries in relation to reconciliations. Also includes investigation, reconciliation and tally monthly working schedules to trial balance, balance sheet, comprehensive income statements.
7. Process of preparing business segment profit reporting to internal stakeholders at Business Area level. This includes assembling of data, analyzing revenue and profitability performance by pricing & business activities, KPIs and preparing Contract pipelines, revenue and gross margin analysis reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or professional certifications are preferred.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
4. Familiarity with reporting standards and requirements for public listed companies is an added advantage.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC or similar systems, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
6. Excellent in both verbal and written communication.
