Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements
Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
Overseeing the petty cash fund, ensuring adequate cash is available for business expenses (e.g., office supplies, minor repairs, parking fees) and ensuring receipts are obtained and properly documented for each transaction with corresponding receipts, amounts, and explanations.
Processing and managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Following up on outstanding accounts and resolving any payment discrepancies.
Performing bank reconciliations and managing cash flow
Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
Liaising with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
Providing financial advice and recommendations to support business decision-making
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures
What we're looking for
A degree in accounting or a related field
A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial accounting and reporting domain
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
Proficiency in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
