Accountant

Job Purpose

• Provides overall support on Finance & Accounting functions for the Company as well as responsible for the implementation and involvement of ERP and Business Process Improvement (Lean) projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support financial period end close activities and financial reporting;
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts/budget and analysis;
• Maintain fixed assets register accurately including depreciation computation, fixed assets tagging, etc;
• Manage tax compliance and tax planning activities such as provision of monthly income tax, deferred tax computation, etc;
• Lead and support implementation of e-invoicing project with a clear timeline and project charter to ensure successful implementation;
• Manage external reporting, such as statutory reporting, central bank, statistics, etc;
• Ensure cash book and bank reconciliation are maintained and performed on a timely basis;
• Liaise with auditors (internal & external), bankers, tax agents, company secretary, and other statutory bodies/authorities as needed;
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow statement, and other reports;
• Work closely with the production team to analyze and manage product costing. Ensure accurate cost allocation, monitor cost variances, and provide insights to optimize production costs.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups;
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls policy;
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
• Support and initiate business process improvement (Lean) initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Degree in Accounting, Professional Certificate, or equivalent in Accounting;
• At least 5-7 years of financial and accounting experience, preferably gained from multinational companies and audit firms;
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards is essential;
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Accounting software;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Good communication skills, can contribute as a team player, and able to handle multitasking duties as assigned;
• Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus;
