Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance and a Professional Qualification (ACCA / CIMA / CPA / MIA) or equivalent.
Preferably with 3 – 5 years of accounting experience in an Audit Firm, Commercial industry, or a similar capacity in a related field.
Membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Knowledge of costing and budgetary control monitoring.
Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements in compliance with MFRS, IFRS, and the Companies Act of Malaysia, ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards and policies.
Prepare tax computations in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Income Tax Act.
Maintain a strong understanding of both direct and indirect tax regulations within the Malaysian framework.
Manage the accounts department, ensuring timely monthly closing of management accounts and overseeing reporting processes.
Develop budgets and financial forecasts for management review.
Monitor operational costs closely and provide insight to support effective decision-making.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and internal controls.
Perform any additional tasks or special projects as assigned from time to time.
