Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the team at Yum Yum Bbq Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of high-quality BBQ products in Kuala Lumpur. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organisation. This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur office.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
• Reconciling accounts and investigating any discrepancies
• Providing support to the finance team and collaborating with other departments as needed
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
• Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the financial accounting & reporting industry
• Strong proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations
