Accountant

About the role

MAAISHA CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the company's financial records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
2. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring financial statements are accurate and compliant with accounting standards
3. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support decision-making
4. Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with relevant financial regulations
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business objectives
6. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient accounting practices

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the construction industry
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
