Accountant

Our client, a group of accounting professionals operating across Japan and Asia, specializes in consulting, tax, audit, advisory services, M&A, visa support, and establishing local internal controls. They arelooking for skilled accounting professionals at various levels (Junior Accountant, Accountant, Senior Accountant) to join our team. The successful candidate will handle bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, tax filing, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bookkeeping:
   • Perform monthly bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
2. Payroll Management:
   • Prepare payroll and process contributions to KWSP, Perkeso, and LHDN.
3. Financial Reporting:
   • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
4. Tax Filing:
   • Support the preparation of personal tax, corporate tax, withholding tax, and SST filings.
5. Compliance & Liaison:
   • Collaborate with auditors, secretaries, tax agents, and government bodies to meet audit, SSM compliance, LHDN, and other statutory requirements.
6. Ad-Hoc Tasks:
   • Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2+years of experience; strong leadership and expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of local tax laws and statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
