Account Payable Specialist (Japanese Speaker)

Salary: RM6,000
Location: Damansara Heights

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Main Objectives and Activities
  1. Responsible for daily AP related activities such as verifying invoices, Purchase Orders, and approvals, vouchering and payment processing in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Responsible for completing AP month-end and year-end closing in a timely and accurate manner, including completion of AP and bank reconciliations and resolving reconciliation items.
  3. Handle Japan AP process and liaise with Japan accounting team to ensure efficient, systematic and timely execution of all Japan payables related activities and controls built for these functions.
  4. Provide support for audits in relation to AP activities.
  5. Adhere to financial policies, procedures, and related internal control policies.
  6. Adhere to systems, procedures, and practices for the smooth running of the division and the company as a whole.
  7. Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of work processes to increase work efficiency.
  8. Undertake any other work which may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  1. A recognized degree from a university.
  2. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  3. Minimum Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (‘JLPT’) N3.
  4. Advanced Excel skills are an added advantage.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills with high proficiency in English.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  7. Result-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player who will be working in a challenging environment.
  8. Available to work shifts and provide shift support during public holidays.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  10. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with colleagues in both Finance and Operations in various geographical locations around the world.
  11. Must be able to work independently.
  12. Self-motivated with a positive mindset and looking for continuous improvement in the department.
  13. Good time management skills and ability to set and adjust priorities in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  14. Display courtesy and sensitivity when liaising with customers and managing difficult customers.
  15. Plan and prioritize work and work in an organized manner.
  16. Sense of urgency in performing tasks assigned and be accountable for all duties and responsibilities.
