Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Lead and handle business for Fisher Scientific Malaysia in the region assigned according to company’s strategies and plans. Perform sales and marketing activities for products marketed by the department, including but not limited to laboratory equipment, consumables, and apparatus. Continuously and independently look for opportunities to grow the committed revenue and overall gross margin for current accounts assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Owning your personal target to achieve Revenue and Margin dedication.
- Crafting a work environment that encourages teamwork and cooperation, enabling sales department personnel to thrive; derive fulfillment from their contributions; and remain consistently encouraged and challenged to improve their performance.
- Engaging in and carrying out sales & marketing activities with a focus on attaining sales targets designated within assigned territories for assigned products and/or services.
- Achieving the required number of customer visits each month by connecting with at least 1 new customer biweekly for potential business discussions.
- Ensuring response to all customers within 2 working days.
- Meeting with the sales manager or segment leader weekly to discuss the sales report and call plan.
- Providing the department manager with monthly updates on market updates, competitor activities, business opportunities, and other relevant market information.
- Taking lead for overall business opportunities in assigned territories within Malaysia.
- Handling yearly products' quota allocated.
- Handling dealers allocated for incremental revenue.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handling customer experiences in a manner where they are consistent throughout the organization and continuously improving.
- Collaborating closely with the Tech service team on any customer requirements for technical support or warranty support. Clearly advising, updating, communicating, and coordinating with Service Engineers to ensure efficient product installation and services. Providing assistance to application matters such as commissioning of equipment sold/marketed.
- Communicating issues faced externally or internally and providing suggestions/solutions for improvement.
- Providing feedback on key wins and losses and discussing with the manager on strategies to win future sales.
- Involving in training activities (local or overseas) provided by the company’s vendors and all initiatives and activities of marketing, seminars, and roadshows organized.
- Following through on product delivery and installation processes to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Assisting the company in the collection of outstanding invoices.
- Assisting in training new product specialists when needed.
- Ensuring compliance with related GDPMD procedures applicable to the department at all times and abiding by all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management and sales, preferably in the scientific, life sciences, or healthcare industry managing channel partners.
- Proven track record of managing and growing channel partner businesses.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
