Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The Account Manager is responsible for delivering sales performance within the Northern Region (Perlis, Kedah, Perak but excluding Penang) for key named accounts within the Enterprise Business Segment. These named accounts are defined as the key named agencies that are both existing and new to Maxis based on their revenue potential to Maxis and size of the organization. Within new accounts, the role will require driving penetration into named accounts and their strategic development; and for existing accounts, it will include protecting base revenues and upselling strategies & executions.

The role will focus on selling Maxis Enterprise converged offerings, i.e., mobile, fixed, IOT/Solutions, and will be the key Maxis ambassador in these accounts. The person will play a role as a consultant with key functionalities to establish solid client relationships and drive engagement through clear account planning.

What are you accountable for?

  • Manage a set of client accounts assigned, consistently identify and develop sustainable business opportunities.
  • Establish solid client relationships & build strategies and engagement plans to maximize Maxis relationships within agencies to ultimately deliver value to customers, including mapping decision-makers & influencers at the Northern government agencies and driving deep win-win relationships.
  • Pitch & communicate Maxis converged solutions to deliver sales performance to monetize Maxis revenue potential within Northern Government agencies. Ensure consistent communications with clients on Maxis latest offerings, solutions, and technology updates.
  • Leverage world-class sales planning tools to optimize the sales of converged solutions, which will include ensuring account plans & opportunity roadmaps, while leveraging world-class CRM tools for sales planning.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (presales, product, marketing, solutions, channel team, network, etc.) in deal engagement & closure, and ultimately orchestrate communication and collaboration between cross-functional Maxis teams and customers.
  • Plan, organize & execute sales initiatives; events, roadshows, courtesy visits, etc.

What do you need to have for this role?

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Result-driven and passionate individual who is eager to help customers by providing solutions based on their needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Tertiary education in business administration, sales, or a relevant field.
  • Base Location: Kedah/Perak.
