AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Malaysia team is looking for an Account Manager (AM) that can manage the working relationship with large organizations, develop a long term account strategy and execute that strategy within those accounts. AWS AM is a trusted advisor for our largest and most committed customers. The role includes all aspects of account development, sales planning, and customer coverage on behalf of AWS.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Act as single point of contact for Customer executives, developing deep, trustful relations
  2. Engage with customers to understand their business drivers and application portfolio
  3. Educate customers on AWS services and translate those into a clear business value proposition
  4. Coach Customer and Partner teams to be self-sufficient
  5. Develop long term Cloud Strategy for customers
  6. Identify & develop specific opportunities to drive account growth for AWS
  7. Deal shaping, including Contract negotiations & closing
  8. Oversee delivery of projects in account, ensuring high quality delivery

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
  • Experience selling AI/ML solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans
