Account Manager

(Mandarin speaker needed) - Need to liaise with Mandarin speaking supplier

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements following Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, making recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounts department, including month-end and year-end closing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, loans, and hire purchase.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Responsible for financial forecasts, projections, and cash flow management to meet operational needs and obligations.
• Review, formulate, implement and follow up on improvements in internal controls and processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual financial audits and resolve audit issues.
• Handle corporate tax, transfer pricing, SST, and compliance matters related to financial reports.
• Drive automation and digitalization projects to enhance efficiency.
• Work with stakeholders to obtain government grants/subsidies for the company.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• MS Office is a must.
• Prefer candidates who are able to speak Mandarin as the position requires to work closely with Chinese speaking associates.
• 5 days work.
