Job description

Account Executive (Interior Design & Build)

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts, including monthly management reports with analysis.
  2. Generate and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) to provide accurate insights.
  3. Ensure month-end closing is completed timely and accurately.
  4. Handle accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
  5. Monitor AR & AP to ensure timely payment collection and processing.
  6. Prepare audit financial statements, notes to accounts, and schedules for auditors.
  7. Identify, report, and resolve accounting discrepancies and abnormal transactions.

Taxation & Compliance:

  1. Handle tax compliance work, including tax estimation, filing, payments, audits, and responding to tax queries.
  2. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and SOPs.
  3. Assist in external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Payroll & Commission Management:

  1. Process payroll accurately and in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  2. Manage payroll-related deductions and benefits administration.
  3. Develop and implement a commission tracking system for the sales team.
  4. Prepare commission reports for sales representatives and management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Administrative & Support Functions:

  1. Perform data entry, filing, and clerical duties as assigned.
  2. Conduct bank reconciliation and inter-company reconciliation.
  3. Offer financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant, preferably with experience in overseeing commission tracking for sales team.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in using SQL accounting system.
  5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  6. Ability to spot discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and sales personnel.
