Account Executive (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our dynamic team at Ikrar Jaya Bina Sdn Bhd, located in the vibrant city of Melaka. As an Account Executive (Construction), you will play a crucial role in managing the financial accounting and reporting aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial records and statements.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and ledgers, for our construction projects
• Reconcile project-related accounts and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Continually seek opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and construction-specific accounting practices
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
