About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Account Executive to join our team at CHONG YIN KIM TRADING SDN BHD in Serian, Sarawak. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting our company's financial and accounting operations. What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents
• Reconciling bank statements and managing petty cash
• Providing administrative support to the finance and accounting team
• Engaging with clients and vendors to resolve any accounting-related queries or issues
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business operations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting or financial role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• A proactive problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Familiarity with local accounting practices and regulations in Sarawak
