Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Support daily accounting activities and monthly closing of accounts.
  • Process payment voucher (PV) for all departments.
  • Assist the supervisor in updating and maintaining detailed records of the company's day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Provide up-to-date and accurate financial information as and when required.
  • Ensure accounting and administration documents are filed systematically.
  • Maintain proper record and organization of filing system.
  • Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts administration tasks.
  • Check on staff expenses claims and input to staff claim template.
  • Perform monthly account payable statement reconciliation and resolve discrepancies if any.
  • Ensure customers' outstanding payments are collected on time.
  • Review and recommend continuous improvements to internal financial controls.
  • Supervise in the finance and accounting unit on financial management matters and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required by superior.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields with professional qualifications.
  • Experience in ERP software will be an added advantage.
  • Preferable Language(s) – Mandarin, English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Possess good knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiar with accounting standards and filing procedures.
  • Excellent math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Basic level in MS Excel and good knowledge of accounting software.
  • Able to handle sensitive, confidential information.
