Job description

Job Title: Account Executive

Experience: 1-3 years

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Taman Seri Janggus, Bukit Mertajam, Penang

Job Summary: As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Provide support to the finance team and other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Executive or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting and ERP Accounting software) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speakers.
