About the role

We're seeking an experienced Account Executive to join the team at Nutri Industrial Sdn Bhd, located in Pasir Gudang Johor. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
2. Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
3. Record all purchases and expenses in both the computerized accounting system and manual logs.
4. Verify invoice accuracy by checking quantities, descriptions, and pricing before processing payments.
5. Ensure proper cash recording by accurately identifying and posting cash receipts to the correct accounts.
6. Follow up on outstanding payments from local and overseas customers to ensure timely collections.
7. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements to maintain accurate financial records.
8. Assist in the preparation of bank facility documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
9. Issue debit and credit notes with complete and accurate information to support financial reporting.
10. Manage outdoor bank deposits and oversee office and production-related purchasing expenses.
11. Generate financial reports regularly, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
12. Act as the key liaison for auditors, bankers, and other relevant departments, providing financial and accounting information as required.
13. Coordinate audits and regulatory processes to ensure smooth financial compliance.

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Accounting, Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
4. Proficient in the use of accounting software and other relevant technology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
