Financial Operations
- Oversee and manage all financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports related to plantation activities.
Cost Accounting
- Monitor and report the cost of agricultural production, including labor, machinery, and material usage.
- Develop and maintain cost allocation models specific to plantation operations to ensure accurate cost tracking for crops or produce.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, focusing on plantation productivity and operational costs.
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial targets are met.
Inventory Management
- Supervise inventory control for fertilizers, seeds, tools, and other plantation supplies.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping through regular audits and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure financial records and reporting comply with local accounting regulations and international standards.
- Handle tax planning and filing to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Lead and mentor the accounting and costing team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members, ensuring they remain up-to-date with industry practices.
Strategic Financial Planning
- Support management in decision-making by providing detailed cost-benefit analyses and financial insights.
- Collaborate with operational teams to align financial goals with plantation productivity objectives.
Travel
Job Requirements:
- Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Credit Control, Account Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or cost management.
- Language: Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Additional languages will be an advantage.
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
