Account Assistant

The opportunity

Huckleberry Hospitality Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations and contributing to the overall financial management of the company.

Key responsibilities

1. Updating of all accounting records through ERP system
2. Prepare payment vouchers, issuance of cheques and initiate online banking payments
3. Ensure all records and filing are up to date
4. Record and maintain full set of account
5. Assist in preparing monthly financial management reports for submission to headquarters within deadline
6. Prepare payment to vendors
7. Manage petty cash fund
8. Process staff’s monthly expense claims
9. Liaison with banks on instalment payments, currency purchases and other banking services
10. Insurance handling – company vehicles, office, staff personal accident and medical
11. Maintain proper records on company vehicles including renewal of road tax
12. Assist in attending to auditors for year end financial audit
13. Sales orders processing and billing
14. Follow up with debtors on collection

What we're looking for

1. Candidates must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy or part qualification of ACCA or CIMA.
2. At least 1-2 years of working experience as account executive.
3. Good communication skill with good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
5. Committed, willing to learn, meticulous, self-discipline and able to meet tight deadline.
6. A team player with high degree of honesty and integrity.
