Job description

Department: Contract and Procurement Department
Reporting to: Assistant General Manager
No. of Subordinate: Nil.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Review of contract agreements and tender documents to ensure alignment with:
    1. the requirements made by the Business Unit;
    2. standard operating procedure;
    3. internal approvals;
    4. other practices which may be required from time to time.
  2. Post contract compliance including contractors' submission of bonds, insurances, etc., and keeping track of the validity of the said documents.
  3. Keeping track of completion dates, record keeping of all Extension of Times (EOT) and Variation Order (VO).
  4. Monitor application for payment from contractors & suppliers including ensuring compliance with internal payment processes.
  5. Pre and post award monitoring.

Requirements

  1. Candidate should possess at least a Degree in Law or equivalent.
  2. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  3. Experience in construction industry and processes.
  4. A good team player.
  5. Meticulous.
  6. At least 7 years of experience in legal and contract management.
