(A) Contract Manager
Job description
Department: Contract and Procurement Department
Reporting to: Assistant General Manager
No. of Subordinate: Nil.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review of contract agreements and tender documents to ensure alignment with:
- the requirements made by the Business Unit;
- standard operating procedure;
- internal approvals;
- other practices which may be required from time to time.
- Post contract compliance including contractors' submission of bonds, insurances, etc., and keeping track of the validity of the said documents.
- Keeping track of completion dates, record keeping of all Extension of Times (EOT) and Variation Order (VO).
- Monitor application for payment from contractors & suppliers including ensuring compliance with internal payment processes.
- Pre and post award monitoring.
Requirements
- Candidate should possess at least a Degree in Law or equivalent.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in construction industry and processes.
- A good team player.
- Meticulous.
- At least 7 years of experience in legal and contract management.
