Job Description

1. Lead, monitor, and supervise a manufacturing team to meet production plans, ensuring quality products with proper production systems, quality standards, and high productivity/efficiency.
2. Establish and maintain a competitive production department, continuously improving processes and employees to achieve operational excellence in all areas of production.
3. Maximize productivity and optimize utilization rates.
4. Coordinate with all departments in the company to ensure smooth production flow.
5. Assist and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, calculating and setting standard time and production costing of existing and new products.
6. Propose methods such as automation or improved equipment and production tooling to achieve higher work efficiency and product quality.
7. Conceive layouts for new product lines as required and maintain and organize plant facilities, production equipment, and plant utilities to minimize downtime.
8. Organize resources and materials transferred from store to achieve production output as per customer requirements.
9. Produce work according to ESCATEC SOPs and WIs to minimize quality problems (in-house and at customer).
10. Ensure all production team members are properly trained to execute assigned jobs.
11. Continuously improve subordinates to achieve optimal performance using MbO coaching and training.
12. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement.
13. Involve in problem-solving.
14. Contribute to the company targets as part of the EEM MT.
15. Monitor and control the inventory of Work-In-Progress.
16. Establish, operate, and improve effective internal control systems to enhance productivity and quality.
17. Identify technology and capex requirements in line with future production plans.
18. Minimize waste (scrap, cost of non-quality/conformance) and maintain 5S in all production areas.
19. Liaise with relevant authorities, such as Fire Brigade, TNB, etc., to meet government regulations.
20. Deliver world-class services (targeted quality, on-time shipment, competitive cost).
21. Lead a team of Section Heads responsible for their respective sections.
22. Lead the company’s LEAN initiative.
23. Contribute to strategic and operational management as a member of the management team.
24. Manage department budget and control expenses.

Job Requirements

1. EEM/EMM: Degree/Diploma, preferably in Manufacturing/Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
2. ECH: Graduate from technical FH/University, preferably in electronics.
3. Minimum 10 years of similar working experience in an EMS environment, with at least 3 years at a managerial level.
4. Result-oriented and willing to work under pressure and tight schedules.
5. Experience in PCBA, SMT, and preferably injection molding.
6. Excellent track record with proven achievements in current and past jobs.
7. Familiar with ERP systems such as BaaN/SAP/Mapics.
8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strong negotiation skills.
9. Strong leadership qualities, resourcefulness, and demonstrated high level of initiative.
10. Ability to work at a fast pace and meet tight deadlines.
11. Experience in project, process management, development, and change management.
